Khala and Troy had already been committed to each other for many years, having already started a family together with three kids. For them, this day was a celebration with their close family and friends of their continuing commitment as a couple. Even though they were still young, it was great to see their kids included in the festivities.
Khala is a very creative person. She always had suggestions of what shots she wanted. It’s always good to have this two-way communication between us and the couple. It enhances our own work, but it also means their photos can be truly unique to them and tell their story.
The ceremony took place on Wollongong beach. This was the first time we filmed a wedding right on the beach and we hope it’s not the last. Being right on the shoreline with the Ocean right in front of you just looks amazing. It makes for some beautiful and profound wedding videos and photos. With so many great beaches around Sydney, the beach is just the perfect place to get married. But the sand does get everywhere, so that is something you do have to think about.
