Suzie & Andrew

Here’s a flashback to a wedding we filmed in October 2018.

Suzie and Andrew had chosen the spectacular Coolangatta Estate located in the beautiful South Coast countryside as the location for their whole wedding day. It was such a beautiful place, and I was so excited to get the opportunity to film in it’s beautiful outdoors. However, during that whole week leading up to the wedding, it poured and poured and poured. It was basically non-stop, and I was very worried about the wedding day, and I’m pretty sure I was not the only one, although Suzie and Andrew were very cool didn’t show it.

However, when we arrived on the day, it was amazing. Not a rain cloud in sight. There’s was rain to the south of us, rain to the north of us, to the east and to the west. But just here, on their wedding day, it was a little patch of paradise. And it stayed that way until nightfall. And so all of Suzie and Andrew’s dreams came true, and so did ours too. It’s an amazing video, and almost a year on, still holds up.

This was our first time working with James Thomson Photography, but it won’t be our last. He takes such amazing photos, and he has a great personality. We highly recommend him. One of the great joys of working in the wedding industry is, not only does our workplace change each weekend, but we always get to meet, new and interesting vendors to work with each time. People who are all doing amazing work that we get the privilege to capture.

Congratulations to Suzie and Andrew. We wish them all the best in their married life. And thank you for choosing Thez Weddings!

Sibel & Andrew

Sibel and Andrew may be a down to earth couple, but they had such an amazing wedding day. We loved how they included their own Turkish traditions in their wedding because it made for some amazing moments in their wedding video. The Japanese Gardens at Auburn Botanical Garden not only makes for a great wedding photoshoot location, but a great wedding ceremony location too.

Congratulations to Sibel and Andrew. We wish them all the best in their married life ahead. And thank you for choosing Thez Weddings

Tino & Tina

From when I first met them, I could see the Tina and Tino were a special couple. We were so glad that we were able to create a wedding video for them. We weren’t just filming a wedding video for them, they made us feel like we were part of their family. Tina is such a kind-hearted and lovely person, who is always thinking of others. When we were filming her wedding prep, she was always checking with us and making sure we’re okay and if we needed anything. Even on her special day, she was always making sure to think of others, no matter who they were. And Tino was a very affable and fun person, who got along with everyone. He was able to go with any situations. It’s no wonder that these two were still together and getting married after so many years. They just fit together.

Lauriston House is such an amazing location for ceremonies and receptions. It has the perfect Victoria era style with an amazing garden for outdoor ceremonies. All in one convenient location. It has a great charm that really comes out in the wedding video.

Congratulations to Tino and Tina. We wish them all the best in their married life. And thank you for choosing Thez Weddings.

Eloine & Daniel

Here’s a flash back to one of our earlier wedding videos, back in April of 2018. I was reminded of this wedding video recently, after Eloine contacted me wondering if I still had a spare copy of their video. It was great to hear that they still loved the video. We always try and make wedding videos that can be watched over and over again, no matter how many years later, and this shows how successful we’ve been so far at this.

As I rewatched the wedding video, all the great memories of the day came flooding back. From when I first met them on Gumtree of all places, to our first face to face meeting, where we instantly vibed together. The whole wedding day was just perfect and fun. Eloine is from Brazil, and it was great to see her own culture celebrated with the Brazilian dancers at the reception.

While we had been working on wedding videography for many years, this was the first time I realised that we could pursue wedding videography not as a part time freelancing job, but as a full time business. And it’s a decision we do not regret. We have met so many amazing couples and had so many amazing experiences, and it’s all thanks to Eloine and Daniel.

So thank you Eloine and Daniel and congratulations. We wish them all the best, and thank you for choosing Thez Weddings.

David & Thanasit

We can’t say it enough. We love same love weddings and this is just another great wedding video showing why. David and Thanasit had such amazing connection and we’re so glad we were able to catch it with their family and friends for their wedding highlight video. You can just see how great a celebration they and we had.

We wish Davide and Thanasit all the best in their married life together. We can see they’re both sailing towards a great future together. And thanks for choosing Thez Weddings!

Sophie & David

We had just the best time making Sophie and Andrew’s wedding video. They had it all, perfect scenery, perfect day and they were the perfect couple.

Sophie and David were referred to us by another couple, Suzie and Andrew, which I had filmed their wedding video for. In fact, I actually met Sophie and David for the first time at Suzie and Andrew’s wedding!

We just love it when our couples refer us to their friends and family. It feels like it really validates what we do to make our wedding videos and wedding photos. Because not only do our married couple love their video, so did their friends and family, and they loved it so much, they got in contact with me. It’s better than any advertising we could come up with.

We wish Sophie and David all the best in their married life together. And thanks for choosing Thez Weddings!

Ella & Jason

Ella and Jason are just so perfect for each other and you can see why from our wedding highlight video. Ella is just so pretty and carefree. She really brought this day to life. And Jason is so talented. He sang such a beautiful song to Ella on the guitar at the wedding reception. It was such a beautiful moment to capture for our wedding video because it really should how deep their connection for each other are.

We wish Ella and Jason all the best in their married life together. And thanks for choosing Thez Weddings!

Shane & Matt

We really love making wedding videos for same-love weddings. Because no matter what you can just see that true love is still true love. And this couldn’t be truer than with Shane and Matt. They are so loving of each other, and of their friends and family too. You can just tell, because they put so much effort into making their reception feel like it was one huge festival. It felt like I was at a huge party. A celebration, not just of their love, but of all love. It was such an amazing day filled with so much fun and festivity, and it made for the perfect wedding video.

We wish Shane and Matt all the best in their married life together. And thanks for choosing Thez Weddings!

Sioeli & Elizabeth

Have a look at wedding highlight video of Elizabeth and Sioeli and you can see how this was such a magical and beautiful day. There was so much fun and excitement, from the wedding preparations all the way up to the first dance. There was so much good memories that we were just struggling to fit it all into the wedding highlight video.

We had such a great time because we really felt like part of the wedding party, a part of the wedding celebration. And when that happens it just made for the most spectacular wedding videos. Even as I rewatch it right now, so many good memories come flooding right back.

We wish Sioeli and Elizabeth all the best in their married life together. And we want to thank them for choosing Thez Weddings!

Why Won’t Anyone Give Me Raw Photos?

If you want raw photos you’re not alone. Over the years we’ve had many customers ask us about raw photos or raw footage and I invariably say no almost 100% of the time. But why?

Of course, we understand why our customers want raw photos or raw footage. Many just want them because they want as many photos as possible. They want to see everything. Or maybe you’re worried you’ll miss a photo that the photographer might not think is good, but this photo actually means something to you. Or maybe you just want a naturalistic look and don’t want the photos to be over-edited. And I don’t blame them, they are valid concerns. But I still say no. Why?

Photography and Videography are not just about pointing a camera and shooting. It’s not just about finding the right light and the right angle. Of course, they are very important parts of the job, but it’s not just about that. Our jobs as photographers and videographers wouldn’t be complete without us treating and editing the photos and videos. In the days of film, it would have been in the darkroom. Today it’s on the computer, in programs like photoshop, or video editing programs like Final Cut Pro. To give someone raw photos, would be like giving you the original camera negative.

Each professional videographer and photographer has their own style, and look. They have their own distinctive brand. And each photo and video represent not only the customer but also the videographer and photographer as well. Their videos or photos are their brands. So if someone edits it badly, it reflects poorly on the photographer and the videographer as well. But will reflect poorly on their brand. Because editing photos and videos are a large part if videography and photography. And we want to see that job through to the end.

Now that’s not to say that I think that you or your friend or whoever is a bad editor. But in order to protect our brand and keep our high-quality product, we will edit our work ourselves, or work with editors who we are familiar with and who we know can do a good job.

Some companies don’t even sell their raw footage for any price. However, after many enquiries, we’ve decided to start providing raw footage or raw photos for $500 each. We feel that if you are willing to pay $500 for the raw photos than you must be very confident you know what you’re doing.

But for the majority of our clients, you don’t need raw photos or videos. If you want tonnes of photos, let us know and we’ll give you tonnes of photos. If there’s a special moment you want, let us know, and we’ll give you that photo or video of that special moment. And if you want it naturalistic, let your photographer and videographer know and they will edit it in a naturalistic style. If you want to get what you want, then communication with your videographer and photographer is key.
